What is a virtual event?

A virtual event is an event that can be completed at any location, at their pace, by utilizing a running app that tracks their performance.
Unlike in-person race, there is no designated course so you can create your very own unique course from wherever you are.

Where can I find my race bib?

Your personalized race bib can be found in your confirmation email (the second email you would have received from Barishal Marathon after registering).

What are required within the virtual run?

We recommend using a running app such as Strava, Runkeeper, Garmin Connect, Nike Run Club, etc., to track your progress. However, there is no obligation, you can use your desired apps. Please ensure you follow our rules and regulations. Any false entries or cheating (such as using a bike to complete the race) will result in your record not being recognized. Additionally, we kindly request all participants to respect the community, their neighborhoods, and local rules and laws, especially for your safety while running.

Can I complete the race indoor, like using a treadmill?

No, your activity must be done outdoor. GPS activity recording is necessary to validate your performance, but in indoor environment, the GPS signals and line of sight with orbiting satellites makes navigation more challenging compared to outdoor environment.

Can I choose my own course?

Yes, you’re free to choose any outdoor route. However, please be mindful of selecting areas with poor GPS signal reception. Additionally, ensure to follow traffic laws and regulations for your safety and respect the community and its surroundings.

Can I complete the distance in multiple segments?

You can, only if the event you entered specify that you can complete the distance in single or multiple activities (segments).
If you wish to complete the distance in multiple segments, simply record your data until you fulfill the distance, and then upload your complete record all at once.

Is there a time limit?

As long as you complete the distance within the allotted race time and upload your data, you are good to go.

Will I receive a finisher certificate?

Your record will be uploaded in our system, and you will be able to download your certificate once all records are confirmed.

How will I see my result?

You can see your result in the system of the event you are participating.You can also search by application registration name and bib.

Can I enter to multiple events at the same time?

Yes, you’re welcome to do so. However, please note that you’ll need to register separately for each event and upload your data for each event separately as well.

Can I make a group entry?

No, only individual entry is available.

How can I know that I have successfully entered to an event?

You will receive payment confirmation email upon completion of the entry.

I entered but I am not receiving confirmation email.

Have you checked your trash or spam folder? Due to the setting of your account, the delivered email may be filtered as spam or trash. You will receive emails from the “@cosmicculture.org” domain.

I live outside of Bangladesh. Can I participate?

Absolutely! Participants from anywhere in the world are welcome. However, if you finish successfully, please note that you will need to pay the courier fee separately, in addition to the registration fee, for shipping the medal to your address. The courier cost will be calculated based on the distance from Bangladesh to your location, and you will be required to deposit that amount before the shipment is processed.
